What is Sales? (Podcast)

Catalyst Sale Podcast Mike Conner Mike Simmons

Mike & Mike discuss the role of the sales professional, the importance of connecting with customers, connecting solutions to problems, and share stories and lessons learned.

What is Sales?

Sales is about connecting the dots, helping the customer navigate the purchase process, delivering more value than you expect in return, connecting a solution to a problem, guiding a process.

When I think of the role of the sales professional, I think of a leader, a project manager, an operator, a creative, a designer, a visionary.

What do you think of?

Sales is many things - above all it should be a Thinking Process. In every business, in every opportunity, there is someone who can help you navigate the internal challenges and close the deal.  There is a Catalyst.  We integrate process (Catalyst Sale Process), technology and people, with the purpose of accelerating revenue. Our thoughtful approach minimizes false starts that are common in emerging markets and high growth environments. We continue to evolve our practice based on customer needs and emerging technology. We care about a thinking process that enables results versus a process that tells people what to do.

In this week's episode we discuss the definition of sales, the focus of the role, and our perspective on the qualities that make a great sales rep & leader.
